Pre-Ballet & Tumbling
The Pre-Ballet & Tumbling (ages 3 - 5) - The pre-ballet course will primarily serve the purpose of stimulating your child's interest in the enjoyable experience of dancing. The class focuses on the development of large motor skills, rhythm, coordination, flexibility and balance through simple ballet steps and exercises, all of which are carefully designed to ensure a solid base for a more complete dance education later on. Students learn in a fun yet structured environment and enjoy meeting their new “ballet friends”.
Beginning Ballet
For students over 6 years old, the school offers a Beginners Ballet program designed according to age and ability. This course will gradually introduce the students to the enjoyment of training the body as a total instrument, developing strength, flexibility, and movement control.
Intermediate Ballet
An Intermediate Ballet course is offered to students reaching a higher level of competence. Emphasis in style, expression and strengthening of the ballet technique is particularly stressed.
Pre-Point / Pointe
Students with a minumum of 4 years of basic ballet training and who have reached the age of 10 may qualify to begin an additional class in preparation for pointe work. In addition to these requirements, it will be the prerogative of the instructor to decide when the student has the strength, balance, and body control to qualify for a Preparation Pointe or Pointe class
Advanced Ballet / Pointe
A more advanced program is offered for those students wishing to pursue a professional career or for those who simply want to dedicate more time and effort to their training with advanced technique
Contemporary Dance Forms
Classes are offered for intermediate to advanced students in contemporary dance and various forms of modern and lyrical styles. Students develop a greater freedom of expression by expanding on the classical ballet training in a more contemporary fashion. A variety of styles are explored and student participation is encouraged in exploring new ideas, concepts and forms of movement.
All students placed according to age and ability level.
