
Men and Women over 18 years of age. Mature students 16 - 18 with a strong desire to learn and participate may apply as well. College students with dance experience may inquire about our regular student classes or attend our adult classes if no previous training or just starting up again.
The Dance Center offers dance and fitness classes for adults who have had no previous dance training, some training or prior training as a child or have participated in yoga, aerobics or other programs.Our classes are ideal for anyone interested in dance and dance movements to tone their bodies, build muscle tone, work from the core out, work up a sweat or come back from an injury.
2010 Adult Sessions: Tap Cardio & Mid-week Stress Buster
- Tap Cardio : An excellent workout class for men and women looking for a fun way to dance the pounds away while working up a sweat! Combined with cardio strengthening, you'll have one of the best workouts around while having fun! Sweat the pounds off and learn to tap to boot! The class starts slow, is designed for beginners and allows you to progress at your own level. Designed for and open to men and women over the age of 18. Mature students 16 - 18 with a strong desire to learn and participate may apply as well. Class meets on: Wednesday - 6:30 pm for 8 week session. First Session begins October 6, 2010.
- You will need:
- Comfortable clothing: yoga pants, dance pants, sweat pants, t-shirt, leotard, etc... anything you can comfortably move in.
- Tap shoes and socks.
- A Towel
- Instructors Chris Davidson (studied with NY / Las Vegas tap master Henry LeTang) and Debbi Evans (former Rockette at Radio City Music Hall in NYC) will have you laughing while you're sweating it off so bring a sense of humor with you!

- The Mid-Week Stress Buster : A Shape and Form Class brings together just the right ingredients to relieve the stress that has been building up during the week while toning, stretching and lengthening your body for a perfect you! It will make you feel relaxed yet wonderfully energized. You will progress at your own pace to attain your personal best. The Mid-Week Stress Buster combines barre and floor exercises to build and tone your muscles along with stretching to achieve your maximum flexibility and to make those same muscles long and lean! Whether you just need to relax, need to get in shape, shed a few pounds or shed some stress, you'll enjoy this one hour class designed to enhance your overall sense of well being. An excellent class for experienced dancers wanting to improve alignment too! Open to men and women over the age of 18. Mature students 16 - 18 with a strong desire to learn and participate may apply as well. Class meets on: Wednesday - 7:30 pm for 8 week sessions. First Session begins October 6, 2010.
- You will need:
- Comfortable clothing: yoga pants, dance pants, sweat pants, t-shirt, leotard, etc... anything you can move in comfortably.
- Bare Feet, ballet shoes or jazz shoes worn specifically for class. (no street shoes allowed on the dance floors)
- An inexpensive yoga mat or even an expensive one! Any mat will do for that matter. Just bring it along with you!
