Our studios are located near Christopher Newport University in the heart of Newport News VA. Classes are offered for children, teens and adults, beginner through professional. Read more >
The studios are home to the Tidewater Dance Theater, Inc. (TDT), a regional non-profit dance company establised in 1973. Many original works have been presented ranging from large theatrical productions to smaller more intimate creations. Read more >

The AB Stars of Tomorrow program marches into it's second season in Tidewater with classes offered in Newport News and Norfolk. Open to children in two age groups, 3 - 5 and 6 - 10.

The Dance Center offers dance instruction for children, teens, and adults, beginner through professional levels. We also provide choreography and stage performances for events in the local area and beyond. Students have achieved successful performing careers, traveling the globe and entertaining audiences worldwide. Many others have been accepted in college and university dance programs and companies across the United States honing their creative skills and technical abilities. Baton students have twirled and/or been featured twirlers at over 20 colleges and universities throughout the United States. Northampton Dance Studios / The Dance Center is the official school of the Tidewater Dance Theater, Inc. located on the Peninsula in Newport News and convenient to residents throughout the Tidewater Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
